More About Oregon Alaska Fishing Adventures

  • We use Fetha Styx Fishing Rods and Willie Boats exclusively.
  • We provide fishing equipment and bait for all trips, lodging for Alaska packages.
  • We will pack and freeze your daily catch for transportation home.
  • We have the right equipment: our jet boats and 26-foot cabin cruiser will take you to unforgettable fishing destinations.
  • We hold a US National Forest Service permit to fish the fresh waters of the Tongass National Forest, opening up a world of terrain unavailable to most.

What to Bring

Luckily, Alaska and Oregon’s coast share a lot of similar climate traits. Here are some of our most important recommendations. Regardless of your outing with us, the most important thing is to DRESS IN LAYERS.

Summer temperatures are cool, but can change quickly. Dress in layers: t-shirts (breathable, sweat-wicking best) and flannels, then sweatshirts and a light, waterproof jacket. Always bring rain gear! Blue jeans or other comfortable slacks are typical for fishing and exploring activities, while sweatpants and shirts are great for all other activities, or “inactivities” if you will.

Tennis shoes are about the only thing to wear on a boat. When going to shore, calf-high rubber boots are the best. Remember that temperatures can also turn warm — just peel off a layer or two and enjoy the sunshine!

What else? Bring your camera and/or video equipment and plenty of film — or memory space! Besides all the fishing action, you will want to capture the bald eagles, bears, marine mammals and other wildlife you may encounter, not to mention the incredible scenery you will encounter.

Bring sunglasses, binoculars, a hat and wool gloves. You can also bring your favorite fishing gear (not necessary). Don’t forget your personal toiletry kit! We also recommend having a small bottle of insect repellent with you (the cream form instead of aerosol is best for the environment).

Fishing License

We highly recommend you have your Alaska or Oregon fishing license prior to arrival. See the links below for more information on acquiring your appropriate license.
