We offer a wide variety of Alaskan fishing adventures — you can bet your bottom dollar we have a trip for you. Halibut, kings, cohos and silver salmon, yelloweye rockfish and ling cod are all species we chase in the ocean depending on the season. For you fly-fishers (or spinners) we have awesome estuaries, streams and lakes where you’ll pull native steelhead, rainbow, cutthroat and Dolly Varden trout in some of the most stunning landscapes on earth.
We Provide a True Fishing Vacation Getaway with Our Alaska Lodge.
The trend in Alaska guided fishing seems to be the mega resort — the 50 guest lodge. This is not our style. We believe that we provide a higher quality fishing experience by staying small and offering personalized service — with much of the same amenities larger resorts offer.
Located in Coffman Cove on Prince of Wales Island and accessed by floatplane or boat, our lodge experience is one you’ll cherish. Our lodge holds up to eight guests and, often, you have the whole place to yourself. Not only will you get the fishing experience of a lifetime and experience true Alaskan relaxation.
Our Chef Gilberto discovered his true passion for gastronomy while living in Alaska. Gilberto graduated from Coffman Cove high school and has lived there off and on for more than 10 years. His pursuit of the culinary arts and hospitality management has taken him across the world. His studies have taken him to wonderful parts of the world while broadening his culinary and managerial skills. He is pleased to share his skills with you.
Our food, lodging and fishing gear is first-rate and all inclusive:
- We use Fetha Styx rods and Willie Boats exclusively.
- We will pack and freeze your daily catch for transportation home.
- We have the right equipment: our jet boats and 26-foot cabin cruiser will take you to unforgettable fishing destinations.
- We hold a US National Forest Service permit to fish the fresh waters of the Tongass National Forest, opening up a world of terrain unavailable to most.
Alaska Fishing Seasons
April-May
Steelhead: For the fly-fisherman our spring steelhead season is hard to beat. We strictly fly-fish and practice catch-and-release for all our native steelhead. An added bonus: the weather is usually very nice this time of year.
Trout: This season also offers great dry fly-fishing for cutthroat and rainbow trout, as well as Dolly Varden. Some of the sea run trout will get up to six pounds. We access an incredible array of streams and lakes using our 18-foot jet boat and logging roads.
June-September
Salmon: At this time a variety of outstanding fishing opportunities exist. Coho are abundant in salt and fresh water. Kings, commonly weighing 30-pounds, are available in saltwater. Humpback salmon literally clog some streams, to catch them on light fly rods is very exciting, especially when the fish are fresh from the ocean.
Halibut: Our halibut fishing is superb! We land halibut anywhere from 30 to 300-pounds and 100 to 150-pound is an average catch for our area.
Trout: Of course rainbow, cutthroat and Dolly Varden can be found in most streams and lakes through the entire season, making it exceptionally fun to use dry flies or ultra light spinners.
No matter what month, or what you’re after, we have an angle that will have you shouting, “Fish on!”
